Sokolovská uhelná, legal successor, a.s.

Sokolovská uhelná is one of the largest independent power producers in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, it produces thermal energy, which is supplied to nearly 52,000
households in the Karlovy Vary and Sokolov regions. Its other main products
include coal for power generation.

Its operations follow the rich historical tradition of mining and refining brown
coal in the Sokolov region. The company invests in the modernization of its
technological units and has long been successful in minimizing the
environmental impact of electricity production. Sokolovská uhelná also plays a
significant role in the reclamation and revitalization of landscapes and
